Best Monitor for League of Legends

League of Legends is a team-oriented strategy game. The goal is to work together with your teammates to bring down the enemy, Nexus located in the middle of their base before your opponents take down yours. That sounds straightforward but how you get there isn’t. So let’s walk you through the basics:You will begin by selecting one champion from a list of many. All of whom have their own unique strengths and personalities. Some arranged marksmen pelting their opponents from a safe distance or burly fighters who like to get up in their opponent’s faces. Others are arcane mages casting powerful spells to trap and damage their enemies. However, if you like to get things done there is a champion out there to match your style. During the game, champions get stronger in two ways, the first of which is leveling up. You gain experience by being in the area when enemies die and each level of experience gives you an ability point. Assign these points as you level up to unlock all of your abilities and make them stronger. As the game is closer to the end, you get stronger. You should buy the items that make you stronger. Some of them you can use, the others, they are just giving you power like attack damage or ability power. If you take the Nexus down you won the game. However, if your enemies take your Nexus down, you lose it. When you finish the game you can start a new one.

Recommended Monitor Settings for League of Legends

So, these settings are going to be the settings that pro players would use. So let’s just get right into it, these settings are going to depend on your graphics card, but the general rule of thumb is borderless on windowed mode, use relative team colors, choose the resolution of your monitor, colorblind mode and frame rate.

Borderless on windowed mode– When you play your game, I am sure that you don’t want it to be on some small window with border. For full and the best experience you should make it on borderless or windowed mode so that you don’t have distractions during play time.

Relative team colors– You can disable it, but then your minions are going to change the color and then it can all get messy and confusing. I like when it is blue and enabled so that I can see clearly what minions I should kill and which one should I save. Of course, you can’t kill your minions, but it is this way.

Resolution: Okay, this one depends on your monitor, but the most frequently it is 1080p, and it is in my opinion great resolution for playing League of Legends. Most of the monitors are working well with the graphics card and with this resolution so my advice is to choose this one or to choose the recommended one.

Colorblind mode: This is a great option in LoL because you can choose the color of your health bar and the color of your mouse. When the colorblind mode is on then your health bar becomes yellow and it has better visibility during the team fight.

Frame rate:  Frames per second in League of Legends depend on your graphics card, monitor and of course of your resolution. If your graphics card has a bad cooler and you are playing League of Legends on very high settings, you are going to have FPS (frames per second) drops and all the problems that gamers really hate. So keep it on medium settings, and your FPS is going to be great.

Review of the 4 Best Monitors for League of Legends

BenQ ZOWIE XL 2730

This 27” monitor is better than any monitor that you can find for playing League of Legends. The graphics of the League are not so high but as the better monitor is, the gaming experience is climbing to the next level. The 144Hz is the best and with the proper graphics card, you are not going to have any problem running it on very high settings. FPS with this monitor is going to be great. The viewing angles are awesome, even though it is an LCD monitor. The resolution of 2560×1440 with 144Hz is giving you a great opportunity to feel that gaming experience. The TN panel on this monitor is great for different viewing angles. You can use this one for almost any game that you want because the performances of this monitor are on high level. For League of Legends, this one is my first recommendation.

ASUS ROG SWIFT

This 27-inch beast is offering great pleasure and a great gaming time if you use it properly and with a proper graphics card. It is a really good gaming monitor. I tried it and the gaming on this monitor feels pretty awesome. This monitor is the world’s first G-Sync gaming monitor, forged for gaming perfection. The color, the brightness, and the gaming experience are mind-blowing! This WQHD 2560×1440 monitor is working the best on 720p, but you can also run it on 1080p. The refresh rate of 144Hz is incredible, and because of these performances, it is going to be great for online games like League of Legends. The 1ms response time is incredible. With this monitor, you are never going to have problems with FPS drop or stuff like that. If you buy a NVIDIA graphics card with this monitor, the settings and the performances are going to be mind-blowing!

Acer Predator XB1

The one and only Acer predator is one of the best monitors that you can find for League of Legends. Acer was the sponsor of LCS so their monitors are for sure great for League. If you are looking for a great monitor with IPS panel, this one is the right one for you. It is compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync technology so if you pair it with some good Nvidia graphics card, the settings will be amazing. Like its name says it is a real predator. The colors on this monitor are awesome. The screen size of 27 inches is going to give you the great gaming experience, and I think that the resolution of 27 inches is the best one for League of Legends. So this monitor has a 144Hz refresh rate, which also I think that is the best refresh rate for League of Legends, so when we see all this, and when we see this monitor, we can say that this one is perfect for League of Legends. But why I said that BenQ is my first choice? Because of the panel. The IPS panel is the only thing that I don’t like about this monitor, and I think that the TN panel is the top choice.

AOC Agon AG352UCG

And the last one is from AOC Agon series. This big curved beast is one of the best monitors that I have ever tried. The curved screen of 35 inches is perfect for gaming. This one would be the first on my list and the best monitor for League of Legends, but this one is very expensive in my opinion. It is worth it. The only thing that I don’t like besides the price is that this one has 100Hz refresh rate which is not so good for most of the games, but in League, it will do a great job. If you pair this one with some good graphics card you are for sure going to be happy with the settings that this monitor offers. The VA panel on the curved monitor gives you great gaming experience, and without a question, the gaming on curved monitors is the best gaming that you can do.
